Olympique Marseille have decided that goalkeeper Pau López is no longer part of manager Roberto de Zerbi’s plans and are actively working on his departure from the club.
Failed Transfer to Como
A potential move to Italian side Como has fallen through. The deal collapsed after Marseille rejected a request from Como to cover part of López’s salary. Additionally, the player himself decided against the move following a season-long loan.
Background
Pau López, a 29-year-old goalkeeper, joined Marseille from AS Roma. His style of play is characterised by strong shot-stopping abilities and good distribution. Despite his skills, he has not found favour under the current management.

Earlier in July, there were reports suggesting that Como was close to securing López’s services. However, negotiations ultimately failed, leaving Marseille to continue their search for a new club for the Spanish goalkeeper.
