River Plate have terminated the contract of their manager, Martin Demichelis, with immediate effect. The decision was announced on 27 July 2024. Demichelis, who took charge of the Argentine club, has been relieved of his duties following a series of unsatisfactory results. The club has yet to announce a replacement.
