Napoli’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has engaged in discussions with Real Madrid’s president, Florentino Pérez, regarding the future of European football, including the potential formation of a Super League. De Laurentiis expressed his views on the current state of football management, criticising it for being in the hands of individuals lacking forward-thinking vision.
According to Corriere dello Sport, De Laurentiis shared his concerns about the sport’s governance and the need for new ideas and strategies. He revealed that he and Pérez are planning to convene with other business figures to explore future plans for the sport, which may include the controversial concept of a Super League.
