Manchester United manager Rúben Amorim has expressed his satisfaction with goalkeeper André Onana’s development in his passing game. Amorim highlighted Onana’s transition from frequently using long balls to effectively connecting with teammates, which aligns with the team’s strategic approach.
Amorim stated, “André used to do so many long balls… now he is connecting with the players,” emphasising the positive impact of this change on the team’s play. He further added, “That was very good for me. He understood the idea. He did a great job.”
This comes amidst a series of comments from Amorim regarding his players’ performances and decision-making, as he continues to shape the squad at Manchester United.
