Eddie Howe, the manager of Newcastle United, has clarified the club’s stance regarding the transfer speculation surrounding Dominic Solanke. Despite his admiration for the player, Howe has confirmed that Newcastle has not approached Solanke and is not in a position to sign him.

Howe, who previously signed Solanke for Bournemouth, expressed his high regard for the player’s abilities. However, he made it clear that no move has been made to acquire the striker. “I love Solanke, I signed him for Bournemouth and rate him very highly. But we have not made an inquiry for him and we don’t have the ability to sign a player of that level,” stated Howe.

This statement puts to rest any rumours about Newcastle’s interest in Solanke during the current transfer window. Howe’s comments suggest that the club is either not looking to strengthen their attacking options with Solanke or that they are not financially positioned to pursue a player of his calibre at this time.
