Brighton & Hove Albion have officially announced that their Head of Recruitment, Sam Jewell, has agreed to join Chelsea. Jewell will be taking on a significant role at Chelsea, focusing on a multi-club project aimed at identifying and bringing in new talent.
Following the agreement, Jewell has been placed on gardening leave. In his absence, responsibilities previously held by Jewell will now be shared between Mike Cave and George Holmes, as confirmed by Brighton & Hove Albion via their official communication channels.
This move marks a significant transition for Jewell, who will be looking to leverage his expertise in player recruitment at Chelsea, contributing to the club’s future successes on and off the pitch.
