Bayern Munich’s sporting director, Max Eberl, has addressed the ongoing speculation surrounding Matthijs de Ligt’s future at the club. Eberl stated, “I will comment on the reasons when it’s time. It is not that time yet,” during an interview with Sky Sport Germany.
Eberl emphasised the importance of considering the player’s feelings and decisions, adding, “You have to think about what you decide and how he feels. He’s still a Bayern player, we always support him.”
Recent reports have linked the 24-year-old Dutch centre-back with a move to Manchester United. Previous news titles indicate that Manchester United have been actively pursuing de Ligt, with reports dating back to early July suggesting that an agreement is near.
De Ligt, who joined Bayern Munich from Juventus, has been a key figure in the team’s defence. His potential move to Manchester United has been a topic of significant interest, especially given his previous commitment to Bayern Munich earlier this year.
