Bayern Munich’s sporting director, Max Eberl, has refuted claims that the club has reached an agreement with Jonathan Tah for 2025. Tah, a 28-year-old German international defender, is currently under contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 2025. Eberl clarified the situation in an interview with Sport1, stating, “We do NOT have any deal agreed with Tah for 2025.”

Current Contract and Role

Jonathan Tah’s contract with Bayer Leverkusen is set to expire in 2025, at which point he will become a free agent. Eberl acknowledged Tah’s significant role at Leverkusen, saying, “He’s German international, big role at Bayer. That’s it.”

Bayern’s Defensive Line-Up

Eberl also expressed satisfaction with Bayern’s current defensive options, specifically mentioning Kim Min-jae and Dayot Upamecano. “I’m extremely happy with Kim and Upamecano,” he added, indicating no immediate need for additional defenders.
