Bayern Munich’s veteran goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer, has clarified his future intentions, stating he has no plans to retire or leave the club at the end of the current season. Speaking to @kicker, Neuer emphasised, “I don’t enter into the new season just thinking that it will be over in June… we will see”. He added that his decision to continue playing will depend on the team’s success this season, saying, “If we have a successful season all together, it means I can continue”.
Neuer, who has been a pivotal figure for Bayern Munich, previously committed to another year with the club in November 2023. However, his season has been marred by injuries, with a notable absence from key matches reported in March 2024. Despite these setbacks, the 38-year-old goalkeeper remains focused on his performance and the team’s achievements.
Neuer’s career at Bayern Munich has been distinguished by his exceptional goalkeeping skills, leadership, and numerous titles. His recent statements suggest that he is still driven by the club’s collective success and is not ready to hang up his gloves just yet.
