Bayern Munich’s pursuit of a new head coach has taken an unexpected turn as Ralf Rangnick has decided not to join the Bundesliga giants. This development was confirmed by Bayern’s director, Max Eberl, in a recent statement to SkyDE.
Rangnick’s Decision Surprises Bayern
Eberl expressed his surprise at Rangnick’s decision, noting that it was an unexpected move from the seasoned coach. “Ralf Rangnick has made a decision in his life. That ultimately came as a surprise to us. But it is what it is… we move on,” Eberl stated. He further emphasized that Rangnick was a highly regarded candidate for the role at FC Bayern, indicating the club’s strong interest in his coaching services. “He was a candidate that we would’ve been very happy to see at FC Bayern,” Eberl told SkyDE.
The club now looks to explore other options to fill their coaching vacancy as they aim to continue their success in both domestic and European competitions.
