Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has commented on the situation where a loaned player scored against his team. Tuchel pointed out the difference in regulations between England and Germany regarding loaned players facing their parent clubs.
In a recent match, Bayern Munich faced Bayer Leverkusen, a game that saw Josip Stanišić, who is currently on loan to Leverkusen from Bayern, score against his parent club. Tuchel expressed his preference for the English system, where loaned players are not permitted to play against their own teams. He noted, “In England there’s a nice rule where when you loan a player out, they can’t play against you. For me that makes more sense”.
Tuchel lamented that this rule is not in place in Germany, stating, “The rule unfortunately doesn’t exist in Germany”. This situation has brought to light the different approaches to loan deals across European football leagues.
