Youssoufa Moukoko has officially joined OGC Nice on a loan deal from Borussia Dortmund. The agreement includes a buy option clause exceeding €15 million.
Transfer Details
The 19-year-old forward, who has been with Borussia Dortmund, will spend the upcoming season with the French club. The deal was finalised following Moukoko’s medical examination at OGC Nice, which took place on 27 August 2024.
Previous Transfer Speculations
Prior to this move, there were reports linking Moukoko with a potential loan to Olympique Marseille. Negotiations with Marseille were in advanced stages earlier in August, but the deal did not materialise.
Player Profile
Moukoko, known for his pace and goal-scoring ability, has been a part of Borussia Dortmund’s setup since his youth. He made his senior debut at the age of 16, becoming the youngest player to appear in a Bundesliga match. His playing style is characterised by his agility, quick decision-making, and clinical finishing.
Future Prospects
The loan to OGC Nice provides Moukoko with an opportunity to gain more first-team experience in Ligue 1. The buy option clause indicates that Nice may consider a permanent transfer if the young forward impresses during his loan spell.
