Julián Álvarez has completed his transfer to Atlético Madrid from Manchester City for a total package of €95 million, according to Fabrizio Romano. The deal includes a fixed fee of €75 million plus €20 million in add-ons.
The 24-year-old forward has agreed to a five-year contract following discussions with his agent, Fernando Hidalgo. This move marks a record sale for Manchester City, who initially signed Álvarez for £14 million.
Álvarez’s transfer saga has been closely followed, with Atlético Madrid increasing their offer and advancing talks over the past few days. The Spanish club had been negotiating with Manchester City and had submitted a bid earlier this week.
Álvarez, known for his versatility and goal-scoring ability, will now bolster Atlético Madrid’s attacking options as they prepare for the upcoming season.
