Barcelona’s president, Joan Laporta, has expressed confidence in the club’s ability to contend for the La Liga title despite acknowledging the challenges ahead. In a statement to Mundo Deportivo (MD), Laporta aligned his views with those of the team’s manager, Xavi, expressing optimism about the club’s prospects in the latter half of the season.
Laporta stated, “It will be difficult but I believe that we will be candidates to win La Liga.” He further emphasized his agreement with Xavi’s outlook, assuring that Barcelona is poised to achieve significant success and remain competitive in the race for the league championship.
Xavi, currently at the helm of Barcelona as the manager, is tasked with guiding the team through the remainder of the season as they strive to secure the top spot in Spain’s premier football division.
