Barcelona are reportedly planning to re-sign Chadi Riad by triggering a €7 million buy-back clause. The move, however, cannot be executed immediately and will only be possible at the end of the season, once Real Betis completes the purchase of the player. According to a tweet from @sport, Barcelona’s intention is to bring back the defender to Camp Nou following his stint with Betis.
Real Betis, on their part, will retain a 50% sell-on clause as part of the deal. This means that they would be entitled to half of any future transfer fee should Barcelona decide to sell Riad after reacquiring him.
Details of the potential transfer:
- Barcelona aims to trigger a €7 million buy-back clause for Chadi Riad.
- The activation of the clause can only occur at the end of the season after Real Betis formalizes his purchase.
- Real Betis will have a 50% sell-on clause included in the agreement.
