Vitor Roque’s decision to join FC Barcelona was driven by his affection for the club, despite receiving financially superior offers from other teams. His agent, Cury, revealed that some proposals were double what Barcelona offered. This statement was made during an interview with RAC1, where Cury emphasized Roque’s love for the team as a pivotal factor in their decision.
“We chose Barça because Vitor loves the club, imagine that we really had other proposals that gave us twice as much,” Cury explained.
However, the agent also hinted at potential challenges ahead. If internal solutions at Barcelona do not materialize, they might consider a permanent transfer to another club. “But if we can’t find a solution internally, we will have to look for another place on permanent transfer,” Cury told RAC1.
This development follows a series of affirmations of Roque’s commitment to Barcelona and his readiness to play, as previously stated by both the player and his coach, Xavi. In recent months, Roque’s agent confirmed that clubs were willing to pay up to €50 million for him, underscoring his high market value and the significant interest from other top European clubs.
