Barcelona’s director, Deco, has confirmed the extension of manager Xavi’s contract with the club. The decision to renew the contract was made based on the trust and confidence the club has in Xavi’s capabilities as a manager.
Deco stated: “We decided to extend Xavi’s contract because we do trust him. No doubts.” He also addressed the speculation surrounding the club, acknowledging that rumors are a common occurrence, especially when the team’s performance is not up to expectations. “There is no discussion about him. But we are used to these things, there are always rumours around Barça when we don’t play well,” Deco added.
Xavi, who is currently at the helm of Barcelona, continues to lead the team as their manager following the contract extension.
