Paris Saint-Germain Football Club, often known as PSG, is a professional football club based in Paris, France. The club was founded on 12 August 1970 through a merger of Paris FC and Stade Saint-Germain. Since then, PSG has grown to become one of the most prominent clubs in French and European football.
Club History
PSG made its professional debut in Ligue 1 in the 1971-1972 season and has since been a constant player in the French top division. The club won its first major title, the French Cup, in the 1981-1982 season.
