History
Chelsea FC was founded on 10 March 1905 at The Rising Sun pub (now The Butcher’s Hook) in Fulham. The club quickly became one of the most prominent in English football and won its first major title, the league, in 1955. Since then, Chelsea has won several domestic and international titles, including the UEFA Champions League, the most prestigious club competition in European football.

Chelsea is widely known as “The Blues”, a nickname that comes from the club’s traditional blue home shirts. The club has several rivalries, the most prominent being against Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, two other London-based clubs.
