Levi Colwill has expressed his gratitude towards Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca for the confidence and trust he has shown in him. The 21-year-old defender highlighted Maresca’s role in allowing him to play his style of football, particularly starting plays from the back.
“He has given me a lot of confidence and put a lot of trust in me to play my football, to start it from the back,” Colwill told @LondonWorldCom. “I can just say thank you to him for letting me play my football and for being good at pushing me.”
Colwill’s comments come amid a series of positive developments under Maresca’s management. Recently, Maresca has been vocal about the progress of other players, including Cole Palmer and Wesley Fofana, and has overseen Chelsea’s recent victory over Brighton.
Enzo Maresca, who took over as Chelsea’s manager, has been credited with a strong start to the season, focusing on player development and team performance.
