Liverpool and Fluminense have finalised the paperwork for the transfer of goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga back to the Brazilian club. The deal, which involves no transfer fee, includes a 40% sell-on clause for Liverpool, ensuring they will receive a portion of any future transfer fee should Pitaluga be sold by Fluminense.
Pitaluga, a promising young goalkeeper, initially joined Liverpool from Fluminense in 2020. During his time with the English club, he gained valuable experience but did not make a first-team appearance. His return to Fluminense marks a new chapter in his career as he seeks to establish himself in Brazil’s top flight.
