According to a statement made to @relevo, Guardiola emphasized the club’s desire to maintain their current squad. “We don’t want him to leave. Barcelona never approached us,” he said. The club’s stance is to proceed with the existing team lineup, with no proposals received for García’s departure.
It is important to note that despite sharing a surname, Pere Guardiola is not related to Pep Guardiola, the current manager of Manchester City.
