Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has addressed speculation regarding forward Julián Álvarez’s future at the club. Speaking on the matter, Guardiola stated, “I read that he’s going to think about it. Ok, think about it… then he will inform us what he wants to do.”
Guardiola acknowledged that Álvarez, who has seen significant playing time, may be contemplating his next steps. “Julián played a lot. He wants more? It’s fine. So that’s why… think about it. And when he thinks about it, he will inform us,” he added.
This statement comes amid a series of uncertainties surrounding key players at Manchester City. Recently, Guardiola has also expressed doubts about the futures of Kevin de Bruyne and Éderson, as well as his own potential departure or contract extension with the club.
Álvarez, a 24-year-old forward, joined Manchester City from River Plate and has been known for his versatility and attacking prowess. His decision will be closely watched as it could impact the club’s strategy moving forward.
