Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has addressed the 115 charges levelled against the club, emphasising the principle of presumed innocence. “Everybody is innocent until guilt is proven. We will see,” Guardiola stated.
The charges, which have not been detailed publicly, are set to be examined starting Monday. Guardiola expressed relief at the commencement of the proceedings, saying, “I’m happy it’s starting on Monday. I know what people are looking forward to, what they expect…”.
Guardiola, who has been vocal on various topics recently, including praising Erling Haaland’s form and confirming no backup signing for the striker, added, “I’m not a lawyer. There are many lawyers in this country and in Spain…”.
The manager’s comments come amidst a backdrop of significant events and statements from him, including his declaration of Lionel Messi as the most complete forward and confirming no departures following Ilkay Gündogan’s signing.
