Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has expressed his belief that Brentford’s head coach, Thomas Frank, is destined for a major role at a top European club. Guardiola stated, “It’s a question of time before Thomas Frank joins a big European club. He will get it.”
Guardiola further elaborated on Frank’s potential, saying, “They will get a good manager, and that is going to happen.” He also highlighted his own ability to identify managerial talent, adding, “I’m good in a few things, but reading when a manager is good, I know which one is good.”
Frank, who has been with Brentford since 2018, has garnered attention for his tactical acumen and ability to develop players. Under his guidance, Brentford achieved promotion to the Premier League and have since established themselves as a competitive side in the top flight.
Guardiola’s comments come amidst a series of recent statements on various football-related topics. On 13 September, he agreed with Javier Tebas on Financial Fair Play and commented on the 115 charges against Manchester City. Additionally, Guardiola has recently praised Erling Haaland’s form and declared Lionel Messi as the most complete forward.
Frank’s future in football management appears promising, with Guardiola’s endorsement adding significant weight to the speculation surrounding his next career move.
