Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has dismissed rumours of Raheem Sterling’s potential return to the club, affirming that the winger remains a Chelsea player. Speaking via @City_Xtra, Guardiola expressed his fondness for Sterling and their time together at Manchester City but made it clear that Sterling is committed to Chelsea.
“I feel so attached to the time we lived together with Raheem, and Enzo,” Guardiola stated. “So I just wish him all the best, but he’s of course, a Chelsea player.”
Sterling, who currently plays as a winger for Chelsea, previously had a successful stint at Manchester City under Guardiola. His tenure at City was marked by numerous achievements, including multiple Premier League titles.
This statement comes amidst a series of updates from Guardiola, who recently praised Rico Lewis as an exceptional talent and confirmed that Oscar Bobb will be sidelined until January. Additionally, Guardiola has declared James McAtee indispensable for Manchester City and commented on the club’s spending in comparison to Arsenal.
