Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has not yet reached a decision regarding the future of defenders Rapha Varane and Jonny Evans, whose contracts are set to expire in June.
Contract Uncertainty for United Defenders
The Old Trafford outfit faces a decision on whether to extend the stay of their defensive duo, with both players’ contracts winding down. Ten Hag, at the helm of the Premier League club, has acknowledged the situation but confirmed that a final decision has not been made.
Jonny Evans, a Northern Ireland international, has been a part of Manchester United’s defensive line-up. His experience and contributions to the team have been significant, but his future at the club remains in the balance.
Rapha Varane, another key figure in the United defence, is also approaching the end of his current deal. The club is yet to announce any new agreement with the French centre-back.
“We haven’t made the decision yet,” said Ten Hag, indicating that discussions and evaluations are ongoing.
As the June deadline approaches, Manchester United will need to address the contract situations of Varane and Evans to ensure stability and continuity within their squad.
