Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has commented on the integration of forward Joshua Zirkzee into the squad, emphasising the need for patience and support.
Challenges Due to Euros Participation
Ten Hag highlighted that Zirkzee’s participation in the European Championships has affected his pre-season preparation. “It’s not like when you have a proper pre-season with the team. He went to the Euros so had to train on his own,” Ten Hag stated.
Time Required for Full Integration
The manager acknowledged that Zirkzee will need time to fully integrate into the team. “We will need time to fit him in and that will take some weeks,” he added.
Support from the Club
Ten Hag assured that the club will provide the necessary support to help Zirkzee make the required step up. “He will have to make a step up and we will have to help him,” he concluded.
