AC Milan has decided against paying the €3/4 million fee required by Real Betis as compensation for the transfer of left-back Juan Miranda during the January transfer window. The Italian club is not prepared to meet the financial demands for the mid-season move.
Deal Set for Summer Transfer
However, the deal is still expected to go through in June, as Miranda’s contract with the Spanish club is set to expire in the summer. Upon the conclusion of his contract, the Spanish defender will be eligible to join AC Milan as a free agent, avoiding the current compensation fee.
