Inter Milan Seek to Extend Dumfries’ Contract

Inter Milan’s sporting director, Piero Ausilio, has confirmed the club’s intention to secure a new contract for Denzel Dumfries. Ausilio stated, “We want Dumfries to sign a new deal, he wants to stay with us. We’ll follow up in talks over new contract soon.”

Ausilio emphasised the club’s commitment to finding the best solution for all parties involved, which includes a higher salary and a longer-term deal. “We’ll try to find best solution for all parties with new contract, higher salary and longer deal. He’s key player for us,” he added.

Player’s Commitment

Dumfries, a 28-year-old right-back, has previously expressed his desire to remain at Inter Milan. On 18 June 2024, he confirmed his commitment to the club, and earlier, on 6 June 2024, he reiterated his wish to stay. Negotiations for a new contract have been ongoing since at least April 2024.
