Crystal Palace Chairman Steve Parish has addressed the ongoing speculation surrounding the potential transfer of defender Marc Guehi. Speaking to Sky Sports, Parish emphasised that no club has yet met the valuation set by Crystal Palace for the 23-year-old centre-back.
Parish stated, “Nobody has got to the valuation yet. If you want a superstar player you need to pay superstar money.” He further described Guehi as a “generational talent” and indicated that the club is not currently at a stage where they need to make a decision regarding his future.
Guehi, who joined Crystal Palace from Chelsea in 2021, has been a key figure in the club’s defence. His performances have attracted interest from several top clubs, but as of now, no formal offers have matched Palace’s expectations.
