André Villas-Boas, recently appointed as the president of FC Porto, now holds the authority to make decisions regarding the future of the club’s manager, Sérgio Conceição. This development follows the signing of a new contract by Conceição, which was initially authorized under the tenure of the former president, Pinto da Costa.

The contract, which extends until 2028, includes a clause that allows for its termination without any financial penalty, a provision that only comes into effect under the leadership of the new president, Villas-Boas. This clause grants both parties—the club and Conceição—the option to part ways mutually and freely, should they choose to do so.
