French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has inked a contract with Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) that will see him remain with the Major League Soccer side until 2025, with options to extend in the following years. The 36-year-old shot-stopper will bid farewell to Tottenham Hotspur on the 31st of December, marking the end of his tenure with the Premier League club.
Lloris, who has been a key figure between the sticks for Spurs, will make the switch to LAFC in a permanent transfer, not a loan deal. Before he can join his new teammates in the United States, Lloris will await the completion of his VISA process.
During his time at Tottenham, Lloris has established himself as one of the top goalkeepers in the Premier League and has been capped numerous times for the French national team. His experience and skill set are expected to bolster LAFC’s defensive line-up as they continue to compete in the MLS.
