Jonathan Tah, the 28-year-old centre-back, has announced that he will not be renewing his contract with Bayer Leverkusen. In a statement to @SZ, Tah declared, “I’m NOT gonna sign a new deal at Bayer Leverkusen. My decision is made.”
Tah, who has been a key figure in Leverkusen’s defence, stated his intention to explore new opportunities once his current contract expires. “I will give my best until the end here and then we will see about my future club. But my decision is to go and try different experience,” he added.
The German international has been with Bayer Leverkusen since 2015, having previously played for Hamburger SV and Fortuna Düsseldorf. Known for his strong defensive skills and aerial ability, Tah’s departure will mark the end of a significant chapter in his career at the Bundesliga club.
