Manchester City and Julián Álvarez are set to hold discussions this week regarding the forward’s future at the club. Álvarez, currently 24 years old, has indicated that he will consider his options after the conclusion of the Olympics.
“We will see, I will think about it after the Olympics,” Álvarez stated.
This follows a series of recent developments concerning Álvarez’s role at Manchester City. On 22 July, it was reported that the club would be evaluating his future, and earlier, on 14 July, there were indications that his role would be reassessed following the Copa America.
Álvarez, who joined Manchester City from River Plate, has been the subject of various transfer speculations, which he addressed on 10 June. Despite rumours, Atlético Madrid confirmed on 8 June that they were not pursuing the Argentine forward.
The upcoming discussions will be crucial in determining whether Álvarez remains at Manchester City or seeks opportunities elsewhere.
