Aston Villa’s sporting director, Monchi, has disclosed that over 40 clubs are interested in signing Jhon Durán. Despite the widespread interest, manager Unai Emery remains confident in the young striker’s potential, believing he could become one of the world’s best.
Durán, who had expressed a desire to leave the club in search of more playing time, is now reportedly content at Villa. Monchi confirmed, “He wanted to leave, yes. Just because he wants to play, normal. But now it’s all good, he’s happy.”
Recent reports have highlighted Aston Villa’s firm stance on retaining Durán. The club previously rejected multiple bids from West Ham, including a £35 million offer in July. Chelsea has also shown interest in the striker as part of their search for new attacking options.
Durán, a promising forward, has been a subject of significant transfer speculation throughout the summer. His potential and current form have made him a highly sought-after player in the transfer market.
