Paul Pogba has firmly dismissed rumours of his retirement, asserting his commitment to football despite his current suspension. The 31-year-old midfielder, who is currently serving a four-year ban for a doping offence, expressed his determination to return to the pitch.
In an interview with Sky Sport, Pogba stated, “I’m still a football player. Don’t look at that stuff saying I’m retiring, I’m finished… I wanna fight for my career, I’m optimistic”. He emphasised his ongoing dedication to training, saying, “I’m not finished. I’m training hard! I’m still 100% footballer”. Pogba also conveyed his eagerness to resume playing, adding, “I can’t wait to return on the pitch”.
Pogba, who has had a storied career with clubs such as Manchester United and Juventus, is known for his dynamic midfield presence and technical skills. His current suspension, which began in February 2024, has not deterred his resolve to continue his professional career.
