Danish midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg is set to join Olympique Marseille from Tottenham Hotspur. The transfer fee is approximately €13.5 to €14 million. Højbjerg, who was not planning to renew his contract with Spurs, agreed to the move after discussions with Marseille manager Roberto De Zerbi.
Højbjerg, 28, has had a notable career, previously playing for Bayern Munich, FC Augsburg, and Southampton before joining Tottenham in 2020. Known for his robust defensive skills and leadership on the pitch, Højbjerg has been a key figure in midfield.
The transfer follows Højbjerg’s earlier indication of seeking a summer move, as reported in March 2024.
