Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) manager Luis Enrique has confirmed that he has the full support of the club’s board, director, and president in his decision-making process regarding the squad, including the exclusion of Ousmane Dembélé from recent matches.
Enrique stated, “I was backed by the board, director, president, club in excluding Dembélé from the squad.” He emphasised his commitment to building a cohesive team, saying, “They appointed me to build a team and that’s what I’m going to do, create a team.”
Despite recent exclusions, Enrique assured that Dembélé remains an integral part of his plans. “Of course, also with Ousmane Dembélé. Dembélé is and remains in my team,” he added.
Dembélé, a 27-year-old winger, joined PSG from Barcelona, where he had a notable career, including a standout performance with four goals in a Champions League match in April 2024. His transfer payments to Barcelona were completed earlier this month, as reported on 12 September 2024.
