Olympique Marseille have officially announced the appointment of Roberto de Zerbi as their new head coach. The club’s president, Pablo Longoria, and sporting director, Mehdi Benatia, have been working on securing de Zerbi’s services for several weeks, and the deal has now been finalised.
De Zerbi, known for his tactical acumen and attacking style of play, takes over the managerial role at the French club. His previous managerial stints include time at Sassuolo and Shakhtar Donetsk, where he earned a reputation for developing young talent and implementing an attractive brand of football.
The appointment marks a significant move for Marseille as they look to build on their recent performances and compete at the highest levels in both domestic and European competitions.
