Stefan Savić has officially signed a three-year contract with Trabzonspor, leaving Atlético Madrid. The 33-year-old Montenegrin defender’s move was confirmed by football journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Savić, who has been a key figure in Atlético Madrid’s defence, had previously extended his contract with the Spanish club until 2025. However, he became a free agent in June 2024, paving the way for his transfer to the Turkish side.
The experienced centre-back, known for his robust defensive skills and aerial prowess, has had a notable career, including stints at Manchester City and Fiorentina before his long tenure at Atlético Madrid. His addition to Trabzonspor is expected to bolster their defensive line significantly.
